Material volume

The volume of material in the component may be entered here if it is known. If the volume is not known, a volume calculator is provided to help to calculate it.

The material volume may be entered in one of two ways:

  1. Using the Initial (total) Volume - If the total volume of material required to produce the component is known (i.e. the volume including any processing waste) then this value is used.

  2. Using the Final (finished) Volume - If the amount of waste material is not known, then the final component volume may be used. TeamSET will then make an allowance for the typical amount of waste based on the process and the component shape.
