DTC Summary form

There are various ways of viewing and printing the DTC summary chart. The major views are:

Unit view: Each subsystem is considered in isolation and the totals added for the complete product
Roll-up view: Each subsystem cost includes the costs for all subsystems bellow it in the product structure

Setting targets

Target values are entered in Roll-up view. They may be entered down to whatever level is considered appropriate. In our example, no target cost has been set for 'Armature'. Its costs will be combined with those of 'Motor'.

TeamSET checks that the entered values make sense. The costs associated with a subsystem must be at least as much as the sum of its constituents.

Cost estimates

Cost estimates are entered in the DTC Detail sheet, where individual component details can be seen.
