Surface finish

The finest surface finish on a component can be a significant cost driver for some processes. In some cases it may be necessary to use additional operations, such as grinding, to achieve the required result. TeamSET adds the extra cost for this, and notifies the user that additional processing is necessary.

We find that either tolerance or surface finish will influence the result, but not both. If we have a good surface finish, we can obtain tight tolerances at very little extra cost and vice verca. Thus only the higher value from tolerance or surface finish is used in the calculations
