Manufacturing Analysis calculates the cost of producing an ideal part from the ideal material for the selected process. It then applies correcting factors because, in the real world, components are rarely the ideal shape for the production process, and are probably not from the ideal material.
If a material has already been selected for the component, the list will indicate processes that are not compatible with the chosen material.
