Parts list

This is the structured parts list used for DFA, FMEA, DTC, and QFD 2. The list of part names can be typed directly into the DFA chart, or a Bill of Materials (BOM) may be imported as a .csv (comma separated variable) file from another source such as a CAD system. The list is entered in the order of assembly.

subassemblies

Subassemblies may be analysed separately as denoted in items 2 and 3 in the list. Alternatively they may be defined within the parts list as shown at items 5 to 9. They may be nested to any level.

Item 16 shows a subassembly that has been collapsed in the listing, so that the detail of the parts within it are hidden.
